Hi, Gals,
Just wanted to let you know about the fantastic Shopping Extravaganza event coming up. On Sat. Nov. 3rd from 10am-4pm, Woodburn Company Stores is hosting a wonderful event that includes a whole list of fabulous goodies. Each ticket is $20 and includes a free gift, wine tasting, lunch by Wild Pear Catering and Pepsi, great store savings and much more! The best part is that the proceeds from the tickets benefit certain participating charities such as Children's Cancer Association and Oregon Federation of Women's Clubs. I’ve gone the past two years with my best friend and it’s so much fun!

Even if you’ve been to the event before, there’s always something new to check out. I heard that this year, there’s a new “Diamond Extravaganza” where they’re raffling off a 1-carat Zales diamond necklace and a $500 Ultra Diamond gift certificate! Here are just some of the store savings you will get if you attend the event: 30% off your entire purchase at Eddie Bauer; 20% off entire purchase at Aeropostale; and Columbia Sportswear has 25% off any one, in-store item. Also, Garden Gallery Iron Works is offering 30% off your entire purchase, Harry & David is offering $5 off purchase of $50 or more, and Helly Hansen is 50% off everything in the store! I was so happy to hear about the great deal at Helly Hansen because I am in dire need of a new, warm winter coat!

So, if you gals are interested, click on the link below for details and head on down to Woodburn Company Stores for an all day Shopping Extravaganza. Hope to see you all there! Shop on, Savvy Gals.

This years Extravaganza event was great as usual, but my opinion is the past years were better(I've been to 4 now). The main prize drawing was spoiled when the person who won one of the prizes wasn't present, so her daughter claimed it for her. The rules said she had to be present to win (not at the other end of the mall shopping, or wherever she was). The event is very well organized, but we enjoyed it more when the prizes were spread throughout the afternoon, and we missed having the demonstrations & or the fashion shows that they have had in the past. With all that said, I have already put it on my calender for next year. It is one of my favorite shopping days of the year and a great way to start my Christmas shopping.
