Spring Trends for 2008

Hi, Ladies!
Last weekend, we turned our clocks back and Spring is even further upon us. Isn't it so nice now that the evenings stay lighter later? I can tell my husband is a lot happier not having to drive home from work in the dark. Makes you feel like you can accomplish so much more in a day. Even my kids get a kick of being able to play outside an hour longer (as long as the weather holds up).
Well, the light evenings aren't the only things I've been noticing lately. Along with the change in daylight hours, comes a change in fashion! And let me tell you, I love Spring fashion. I think it's because I get so tired of the rain and the dreary gray colors, I can't wait for a bright change in my wardrobe. So here are a few new Spring fashions I've been noticing lately...The biggest trends I've been seeing are ruffles, thin belts, and head scarves. The ruffles seem to be the biggest, whether they're found on purses,shirts or some dresses. At first I was a bit weary because when I hear the word ruffles, I think of 80's prom dresses! But, but the new styles are actually really cute! And personally, I think thin belts never left. To me they are always so classic and sleek looking, but I'm glad to see they're making more of a stronger come back. They look fantastic paired with a blouse and a pencil skirt either knee length or longer. As for colors, I notice the strongest colors are deep green, silver and other types of metallic. Pink and purple make-up seem to be all over the place. I guess with Easter in two weeks, pink and purple make sense. As for purses, clutches are popping up everywhere. I have to admit, I am terribly addicted to clutches. They're wonderful to use for a night out when you don't want to carry a heavy purse and one place I know I can count on to find the most adorable clutches is Banana Republic. They are always reasonably priced and they seem to last quite a while.
