Hey, Ladies,

As I'm sure you've all heard, the long awaited "Sex and the City" movie opens this Friday, May 30th and I couldn't be any more excited! As a long-time fan, I have been dying to see more of the fab four in action since the show ended in 2004. There is no argument that Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte have all played a large role in becoming some of the greatest fashion icons of our time. No once can forget how Samantha was able to pull off looking sexy and classy at the same time, or how Miranda brought a feminine touch to fitted pantsuits. Charlotte proved that pearls will forever be classic, and Carrie introduced us to gold necklaces with names, huge fabric flowers, and of course, Manolo Blahniks (“Hello, Lover!”).

Although we all aspire to look like the women of "Sex and the City," let's face it, not all of us have the budget to afford it. Heck, even Carrie couldn’t afford it! However, I have some helpful hints that will still give you the look, but at half the price. After you see the movie this weekend (and you’re full of inspiration), head on down to Woodburn Company Stores. They have a large variety of stores that offer the looks that represent all four girls. Here is a list of stores in my opinion that best match each character of the show.

First and foremost--Carrie. For the look of Jimmy Choos, but at a lot less, head to Nine West. Their sandal collection is perfect for summer days and their heels collection is even better for summer nights. As for the outfits, BCBGMAXAZRIA, White House | Black Market, and of course GAP Outlet all represent Carrie in some way. BCBG definitely has the funky, sexy look whereas White House | Black Market has adorable dresses. And you must include GAP since at one point, Sarah Jessica Parker was their fabulous fashionista spokesperson.

As for the rest of the ladies, Samantha is definitely GUESS Factory Store, Jones New York, and Totes/Isotoner/Sunglass World (they carry Coach sunglasses now). All have the sexiness, class and complete confidence that Samantha exudes. To get Miranda's look, try stores like Cole Haan, CAbi Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Ann Taylor and Nike. These stores are a mix of strong, feminine and sporty. And Charlotte's classic look can be found at stores like Banana Republic Factory Store, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren, Ann Taylor and IZOD. All stores have a very feminine, sophisticated and elegant look that hold strong throughout the decades, just like Charlotte. Just make sure to include the pearls...from Zales or Ultra Diamond!

So, Ladies, there is my rundown on how you can pull off a SATC look without having to spend everything in your 401(k). Can't wait to see what you all think of the movie and of course, the outfits included! Let me know what you think and if you have any shopping tips for your "Sex and the City" look as well. And, if you don’t know which gal you’re most like, take this fun quiz (http://quiz.ivillage.com/astrology/tests/sexandthecity.htm), then go shopping!

Have fun, and remember to Shop on, Savvy Gals!

I'm most like Charlotte, but love Carrie's shoes! Instead of the $425 Manolos shown in the movie, check out the Nine West Outlet or GUESS. Saw cute strappy shoes that were WAYYYY less expensive! Think $40 instead of $400. Leaves you enough to buy the matching purse.
