Hey there, fall shoppers!
So, unless you've been under a rock or camping for the last month, I'm sure you've heard all the buzz of the fall season that's approaching us quickly! Back-to-school is upon us and it's time to get ready. I have to be a little honest, as much as I love having my kids around me, it's always a nice little break to send them back on that yellow bus. But before I can do that, I've got to make sure that I'm sending them in style. And trust me, right now with the economy the way it is, is not the easiest thing to do so. Good news is that I've started to hone in on my smart shopping skills and I've realized that there are over 90 reasons that make Woodburn Company Stores the place where you can get more bang for your buck.
To me, the 90+ stores speak for themselves as the top 90 reasons it's the best place for value shopping. But I've also got a few more tips and reasons to add to the pile. So here's my list to help you do the smartest shopping you can for the fall season.
1. If you haven't thought about it before, making shopping trips with friends or other moms can be really fun and gas efficient. I know my girlfriends will be doing back-to-school shopping around the same time I will, so it only makes sense to make a day of it and all head down together. And not only do we save on gas, but we have a blast shopping together, hunt down great deals and then enjoy a little food and relaxation in the end. So if you know people that need to do some fall shopping, go as a team and save!
2. One of the things I love most about Woodburn Company Stores is the outdoor shopping. I can't stand being trapped inside a stuffy mall, especially when the weather is so nice! And even if it's raining, there's still the covered walkways. I love the fact that I get the northwest fresh air along with great deals on all my shopping. The best part is that the kids love it too. They get to play in the tree house out front and for the little one, I can checkout a stroller for free. Makes my shopping so much easier!
3. Did you also know that Woodburn Company Stores offers up to 30-70% of savings everyday? And not only that, but there's fantastic sales on top of all the other savings. In fact, there are loads of sales going on for Back-To-School of 2008. Stores like Converse are offering 15% off your entire purchase or Izod who is offering 20% off any single item. For a whole list of stores with sales, you can head to
www.woodburncompanystores.com or check the Oregonian to see Woodburn's full page ad.
4. In the spirit of kids heading back to school, Woodburn Company Stores is acting as a donation point for the School House Supplies Organization that helps donate supplies to Portland Classrooms. If your interested in helping, you can donate supplies at Woodburn Company Stores from now until Sept. 1st that will go to the organization. Or you can always purchase a virtual backpack online for $25. This backpack includes paper, markers, glue sticks, crayons and more! And on August 23rd, Woodburn Company Stores is putting together a "Mom's Going Back-To-School" bus. Join 105.1 the buzz for a fun field trip for moms that will hold games and prizes along the way. By donating $25 to School House Supplies, you can purchase a virtual backpack, reserve your spot on the bus, receive a facial, breakfast, lunch and more. Just
click here to register and just think of all the gas you'll be saving as well!
5. Here's a quick little saving tip--with all the fantastic back-to-school deals going on right now, instead of purchasing just one of something, purchase two! It's the perfect time to stock up on Christmas presents, birthday presents or just snagging two of something because you love it so much! Like if you head to Columbia Sportswear right now through Aug. 10th, you can find warm weather wear starting as low as $4.98! I seriously would spend more on my coffee then I would on clothes. How can you not buy two of something that's under $5? So keep your eyes peeled for great deals to stock up on.
So those are my top 5 saving tips and reasons for now, but I've got a few more up my sleeve that I plan posting soon. I've got run out and gather my children who are now obsessed with the neighbors new dog and encouraging me to purchase one as well. Those guilt trips might just work! But remember to Shop On (and Shop Smart) Savvy Gals!
